In cooperation with SAS (Slovak Academy of Sciences), we participated in the development of a new recipe for biodegradable and compostable polymer material, mainly through the testing of recipes in a semi-operational scale. We filed a national patent application for the new solution. According to Professor Ivan Chodák from the SAS Institute of Polymers, the useful properties of the created mixtures exceed the mechanical properties of polyethylene as the most used plastic for packaging films, while the production price can be lower compared to plastics based on fossil fuels.
